Engineering supervision of the investor

Engineering supervision of the investor is based on the agreement (contract) with the investor which specifies the extent of engineering supervision, as well as the details of representation of the investor in negotiations with suppliers, chief project engineer, construction administration authorities and other bodies and institutions to provide engineering supervision on building sites and to monitor whether the construction is carried out:

in accordance with the approved documents,
in accordance with the agreed conditions,
in accordance with the technical norms and other legal regulations,
in conformity with the decisions of public institutions.

Engineering supervision is not a selected activity in construction. It is a voluntary activity depending on the interest and requirements of the investor , which is partially specified by Act No.513/1991 Coll. (Commercial Code) as amended in later regulations.
